Tips on choosing your song:

You can choose a song that you enjoy, and/or something you have memorized or can memorize for the recital, as it'll be a good opportunity to showcase your hard work on this song and it means you probably know the song pretty well (memorization is not mandatory but would be a nice challenge and goal). If the song is under one minute, you may choose to add one more.
